organizes communication trainings, mediation of disagreements and conflicts and counselling applying Nonviolent Communication, NVC.
NVC supports your development towards independence and mutuality through communication. Independence means that you are able to identify and express your needs and at the same time create strategies to fulfil them in ways that will not hurt others. Mutuality means that you are able to understand the needs of others in relation to your own and you are able to adjust your behaviour in a way that will take into consideration the wellbeing of other people.
THE GOAL IS TO CONNECT WITH ONESELF AND OTHER PEOPLE AND THROUGH THAT HANDLE CONFLICTS
NVC-process can be applied in all communication and between for example:
- adult and child
- teacher and student
- perpetrator and victim
- patient and nurse
NVC-process emphasizes individual’s responsibility and makes a clear difference between:
- observations and interpretations
- feelings and thoughts
- needs and requests
- sympathy and empathy
Savanna ConneXions offers NVC-training to different situations:
In enterprises we usually start with a 2-day NVC-introduction, during which time the participants will understand how meaningful word choices are in communication, how to express themselves without losing connection, how to give feedback, how to say NO, how to face an attack without turning into a victim or giving up. This training will also help you internalize how threats, demands and punishments block the communication flow and how empathy and word choices increase cooperation and abilities to find solutions.
Anybody can order from us a mediator to help solve different conflicts for example at work places, intimate relationships and between family members. We offer also help for individual’s internal conflict situations.
All of our scheduled trainings are in Finnish. See the Finnish page: koulutukset
